The War Goes On - "self titled" LP (NDA 008)

The War Goes On - "self titled" LP
The record that has been in the works for more than four years from these K-town degenerates is now ready. We are proud to present the dark and rough reality that is THE WAR GOES ON. Made up of people responsible for bands like NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, HJERTESTOP, and many more K-town classic hardcore bands. This record sees singer Ronni Dybdahl delve further into the depths of darkness and gloom than ever before, and come back with an anthemic hard pounding street punk record that somehow blurs the lines between Oi!, Punk, and Hardcore. This record as the "This Shitty Life" ep we released four years ago, will be available for pre-order in limited quantities coming soon so check back! Get one while you can!

No More Art - "Sorrows of Youth" LP (NDA 007)

No More Art - "Sorrows of Youth" LP
Finally! No More Art delivers a much-anticipated full-length LP after tempting us with a handful of fantastic 7″s (including the split 7" with DOOM TOWN released on MAN IN DECLINE RECORDS). For those unfamiliar, No More Art plays dark, driving melodic punk that embodies the spirit of THE WIPERS and combines it with the execution of THE AVENGERS, and old LA band, THE BRAT. Guitarist Will Kinser spent some time playing in RED DONS, which comes through in the songwriting and execution, and they also share a kinship with bands like MASSHYSTERI and VANNA INGET. Pick this up if you like downstroked classic punk with minor chords and strong female vocals. -Man in Decline Records

The War Goes On-"This Shitty Life" EP (NDA 006)

The War Goes On-"This Shitty Life" EP
This record has taken quite awhile to see the light of day, but as always, it was worth the wait. For those of you who know the demo this will be no big surprise but there are a few things changed here. First off we have an additional guitar track added, it has been re-mixed by Lasse Ballade at Planet-X, and has been properly mastered for vinyl by Hajji Husayn. The three songs on this are seething with depression and rage which comes off great with the raw delivery of the band. The closest thing I can compare TWGO to is Ronni's last band No Hope for the Kids but less melodic, and without every song being about war, . There is a distinct introspective element to the lyrics for sure. Another great band from K-town with members of all the bands you already like. This record was also done with limited hand-made covers. Thanks to the band for playing a great record release show here in Hamburg!

No More Art -"Peripeteia b/w Evil Eyes" EP (NDA 005)

No More Art -"Peripeteia b/w Evil Eyes" EP
This is my new band from Hamburg. This is a description from Erste Theke who released this plate:
No More Art is comprised of people from rather dissimilar backgrounds in music, but the elements are easy enough to lay out. There are the surf-drenched guitars, the complementary female vocals, and the rock ‘n’ roll frenzy of X (Los Angeles), some of what has been brewing in Denmark and Sweden over the last decades with bands like MASSHYSTERI / VICIOUS, and NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, but also with lots of melody and leads that is reminiscent of 80's LA bands like SOCIAL DISTORTION and ADOLESCENTS, but with a unique sound of their own as well. Lead singer Milo has been paying her dues for some years now as a singer song writer in her own solo project ROSIE TIE. Drummer Juan Miguel has been busy on the heavier side of music, playing guitar in bands like LOS DOLARES, ETACARINAE, and PELIGRO!, in Barcelona over the past decade. Will has also done time in many bands over the past decade with groups BORN/DEAD, DESOLATION, SUICIDE BOMB, DOPECHARGE, and most recently Portland's RED DONS. Recorded by Dennis Rux at Yeah Yeah Yeah Studios and mastered by RED DONS Hajji Husayn in a 80s sound that made you KBD fans out there forget the modern world. Enjoy the first No More Art songs!

Doom Town "Walking Through Walls" EP (NDA 004)

We Are very proud to announce that we finally have the finished product more than a year in the making. Doom Town are a great punk band from St. Louis Mo. that play a raw style of punk with male/female melodies much like Los Angeles X, but with the raw energy of Gorilla Angreb. Listen for yourselves, this music is catchy and sharp. Doom Town will be touring Europe in January 2012.

THE ESTRANGED -Subliminal Man - LP (NDA 002)

THE ESTRANGED -Subliminal Man - LP (New Dark Age Records/Sabotage Records)
Anyone who hasn't heard this band has been living under a rock for the past 3 years. Think early WIRE, JOY DIVISION, and WIPERS of course, and then add musicians with the skill to bring something interesting and exciting to the sound. I used the limited edition Silkscreen cover wraparound that I designed for this great follow-up to their " Static Thought" LP.

SPECTRES - Last Days LP (NDA 001)

New Dark Age/ Sabotage Records

Spectres were originally formed in 2006 by Brian Gustavson and Steve Hanker in a small town called Coombs, British Columbia.  The pair wanted to experiment with peace punk and post punk influences and made a few demos that were mailed out and given away to various friends. Whisper in Darkness label heard one of these demos and expressed an interest in what eventually became the "Cold War" 7".  At this point Brian and Steve set about putting together a band to start playing shows, and Heather Szilagyi (drums), Nathan Szilagyi (bass) and Zach Batalden (guitar) were added to the band's roster.  Not long after Heather left the band and Steve Gerencer joined to fill in on drums, and this line up went on to make the "Visions of a New World" 7" later that year.  The band toured to support this release in the spring of 2008 and Steve Hanker left the band after the tour to persue other projects.  Tyler Pilling joined shortly after to play guitar in Steve's place and this line up has been consistently playing shows in the Pacific North West ever since.  The band's first LP, "Last Days" began when Spectres partnered with Felix Fung of Little Red Sounds in January of 2009, working in multiple sessions through the next few months to complete their debut full length album. The new record expands the song writing skills from their two previous ep's to include some more angular writing abilies. The vocals are more dynamic and overall better thought out. Being compared to bands like JOY DIVISION and SISTERS OF MERCY is a hard thing to live up to, but they have definitely taken those influences and molded them into something heartfelt and profound. This release is being jointly released by Whisper In Darkness Label in North America and Sabotage Records/New Dark Age in Europe.
